Hasan Raheem was born on August 2, 1998, in a religious Muslim family in the Indian subcontinent. He grew up in a Shina family in Gilgit, part of the Gilgit-Baltistan region in northern Pakistan. His family taught him to have deep respect for Islam. He was the oldest of four siblings, born to a mother who took care of the home and a father who worked in the Pakistan Army. Raheem looks back on his younger days and remembers being a bit of a rebel, especially when it came to his love for music.
In the fifth grade, he first appeared on stage by dancing to a popular song by the British-Indian band RDB. After finishing his studies at Bahria University Medical and Dental College, Raheem moved to Karachi to pursue a career in medicine.
Career
While studying to be a doctor, Raheem started making and sharing music in 2018. He used his guitar and came up with songs like “Aisay Kaisay,” “Joona,” “Aarzu,” “Sar Phira,” and “Sun Le Na.” These songs got lots of views on YouTube. At first, he was part of the Young Stunners group. In 2020, he got the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award at the First Pakistan International Screen Awards in Dubai. In 2022, Raheem joined Coke Studio for season 14 and performed the song “Peechay Hutt” with Justin Bibis and Talal Qureshi.
