Early Life
Salman is the eldest child of screenwriter Salim Khan and his Hindu wife, Sushila Charak. Despite his father’s wish for him to be a cricketer, Salman aspired to follow in his father’s footsteps as a screenwriter. He attended schools in Gwalior and Mumbai, later dropping out of St. Xavier’s College. Eventually, he pursued acting at Daisy Irani’s academy.
Career
Salman debuted in 1988’s “Biwi Ho To Aisi” and gained stardom with the 1989 hit “Maine Pyar Kiya.” Known for action films, he starred in numerous successful movies, including “Saajan” in 1991. Salman has acted in over a hundred Bollywood films and produced the Canadian film “Dr. Cabbie.”
