Pritam was born into a Bengali Brahmin family on 14th June 1971. He received music training and learned guitar from his father Anuradha Chakraborty, during his school life. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Geology from Presidency College before joining FTII, Pune, where he pursued sound recording & engineering degree.
